My name is Julie Huan

我是Julie Huan

I’m with the strategy department of NUS Business School

我来自新加坡国立大学商学院策略与政策系

and I teach business law and corporate law

负责教授商法和公司法

To me teaching is about inspiring beautiful minds

对我来说，教书就是要启发学生们优雅地思考

And by that I mean inspiring students to think hard

也就是说，要启发学生们努力思考

to think independently

独立思考

and to think for a purpose

带着目的思考

And what is inspiring to me is when I see a student’s

我最感欣慰的时候是，当我看到一名学生的

mind change from a mere sponge, absorbing information

思考方式不再是仅会吸收知识的海绵

and then for that student to use that beautiful mind

而是能够出色地运用头脑

to make a positive impact on society at large

为社会带来积极的影响
