Innovation is … number one that is NEW

创新首先要是新的

Now the question is

那问题来了

New to what

对什么来说是新的

It may be new to me

它可能对我来说是新的

No, that is not great innovation

不 这不是伟大的创新

Because there are many things that I don't know

因为有太多东西我不知道

or that you don't know

或者你不知道

It may also be new to this organization

它可能对这个组织来说是新的

That is already much much more interesting

这样就已经非常有趣了

Because now we are talking about something

因为我们现在在说的是

That we actually have to convince others in the organization

我们必须说服组织里的其他人

That it is interesting and that we should do it

这样事物是有趣的 我们应该去做

It may be new to the country

它可能对国家来说是新的

Of course then innovation is often

当然这种创新

much much more difficult to achieve

特别难以实现

and much more difficult to actually also detect

也难以发觉

And finally it can be new to the world

最后 它可能对世界来说是新的

And then of course we are talking about

这时 当然我们在说的就是

really the big stuff

真正的大事

Innovation also has to not just be new and creative

创新不仅要是新的 要有创意

It also has be to useful, practically useful

它还要有用 有实用价值

Practically useful often means that we can actually

实用通常是说我们能够

have a market for it

在其上建立一个市场

Now market in a bigger sense

一个更大的市场

Not just in the sense of I exchange money

不单是一个我可以挣钱的市场

but also in terms of there are needs

还要有需求

that can be met by this innovation

可以被这项创新满足

So for me, an innovation then is new

所以对我来说 创新是新的

It is something that is already there

它是已经实现的

We can already pinpoint it

我们能看到的

It is sort of the prototype

某种雏形

And it is in principle something that is useful

原则上它也应该有用

And it is in principle something that I can have

原则上它应该能让我

a business model add on
