Director of Plasmid Platform R&D

Role Description:

The expected candidate is acting as a leader of Plasmid Platform R&D, responsible for the management and continuous improvement of the plasmid process platform performance. The leader should demonstrate strong insight into the technology, science, and market, allocate resources to direct the R&D projects with a result in mind.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead a team of plasmid strain development, upstream and downstream process development and research in GCT business line to support long-term platform capability improvement and business growth.

2.Responsible for GCT R&D projects design, troubleshooting, and delivery.

3.Responsible for GCT R&D technology innovation and platform improvement, including for example, more efficient and robust bioprocess development platforms, process automation and digitalization, and modular process solutions for complex plasmid application scenarios.

4.Oversee the market direction and customer needs, translate and decompose them to formulate R&D projects and goals.

5.Recruit, retain and develop talents. Provide leadership for a high performing team to meet our overall business objectives.

6.Collaborate with sister departments in providing valuable servicing products and improved platforms.

Education/Experience:

1. MSc with 7+ years or PhD with 5 years industrial experience in biological science, biochemistry, biotechnology / bioengineering, or a related discipline.

2.In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience on nucleic acid drugs based scientific field, process development, and manufacturing.

3.Direct management experience with successful track record of building, coaching and mentoring a high-performing team.

4.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

5.Bi-lingual, fluent in Chinese and English reading, writing and conversation.

1.负责慢病毒制备的工艺开发与数据分析，并针对工艺需求提出可行性技术方案!2,负责细胞建库，细胞培养工艺，下游慢病毒纯化工艺等技术方面的提升
