讲座内容

I first argue that one does not therefore know by closure that φV~e, where φ is a logical consequence of p, if one comes to know that p on the basis of e. As a consequence, it is not wrong for Nozick to deny that if I know that I have hands, then I know that I am not a BIV, even though he and Dretske fail to provide an independent reason for doing so. I then argue that in the famous red-barn thought experiment, my belief that the object is a red barn is not sensitive and therefore, Nozick does not have to deny that if I know that the object is a red barn, then I know that it is a barn. At the end, I argue that safety is not preferable over sensitivity in so far as avoiding skepticism is concerned.

在此讲座中，我将主张，如果我们基于证据e而知道命题p，且φ是p的逻辑后承，那么我们并不能通过闭合原则而知道 φV~e。因此，Nozick对于“如果我知道我有手，那么我就知道我不是缸中之脑”的拒斥是没有错的，尽管他和Dretske未能提供这样做的独立理由。进而，我将论证，在著名的红谷仓思想实验中，我关于物体是红谷仓的信念是不敏感的。因而Nozick不必否认，如果我知道物体是红谷仓，那么我就知道它是谷仓。最后，我将指出，在克服怀疑论方面，安全性并不比敏感性更可取。

主讲人介绍

任会明，教授，山东大学心智与认知研究所主任。2005年毕业于美国佛罗里达大学，获博士学位。2007年回国后分别任职于浙江大学、山东大学。研究方向：认识论、心灵哲学。在Erkenntnis, Australasian Journal of Philosophy,《哲学研究》等中英文期刊发表过论文。
