This is evidence of a living body on other bodies, rocks that have been the subject of geological formation, erosion, the action of time on objects. This is a place, in a way, that I just would like you to, in a way, look at differently because of this event that has happened in it, a human event.

And in general, it just asks us to look again at this world, so different from, in a way, the world that we have been sharing with each other, the technological world, to look again at the elemental world. The elemental world that we all live in is the space that we all visited together, the darkness of the body. I wanted to start again with that environment, the environment of the intimate, subjective space that each of us lives in, but from the other side of appearance.

I have a prejudice, to evaluate the aesthetic foundation of a space, we often have to look at its handling of ellipsis, blank space and pause. Just like in movies, every touching moment happens in the handing of a pause by the director. Our indescribable and beyond-language emotions to pause of time.

Why is the primary state of design always easy to fall into the so-called "self-satisfaction"? The reason lies in "mistaken belief that space is a single self-expression". In fact, when we throw space to the occupants, it is to cause a reaction. And this kind of reaction can only happen in the round trip of the communication channel between the occupants and the space.

If our design serves as a slide show flashing in front of audiences, it ends up nothing but a simple stimulation of the retina. Therefore, in this case, the pause seems to suggest that "don't watch the following yet" and "think about it". Why pause? Mostly designers regarded the pause as the most beautiful component of rhythm? That's because every pause is not only the convergence of the past, but also the omen of the next moment; It is not only the "result" of the previous series of feelings, but also the "reason" to be perceived later.

“Pause” is not a silence, a blank, or the lost mood, but the most complicated emotion in inner life. There are often over-interpretations in design. We really hope that we can learn to pause, because no matter how well the design is accomplished, it can't compare with the participation of the residents' own imagination and the sentimental drama.

Every time, we wait for the weekend, and for a festival where we can go to a distant place, so that we can pause in life in order to get a break. When we design a residence, we are always anxious about the impatience of others and dare not pause. Our inner voice is always telling ourselves, "Don't stop", "No pause or being nothing".

In the process of creation, we are brave to construct pause, because we believe that the previous content has already established expectations, which is the premise for the pause to be established. It’s hard for people to cause any association in the face of pure vanity. Only under the tension of time, pause, omission and blank space are meaningful. We pause in life in order to seize the hand of fate that life is pushing us to stumble forward and return the world to us. Similarly, the pause in our design is to say less, take a step back and return the control of time to the occupants.

Beauty is not an instant light, but a quiet afterglow. When we can find the figure of beauty in a pause, we touch eternity in an instant.
