二语语用学作为一门跨学科研究,兴起 于20世纪80年代初至90年代初,迄今为止已 经有三十多年的历史。二语语用研究聚焦二语习得中的语用知识和能力问题,不仅拓展了二语习得研究的范围,而且丰富了已有的研究范式和研究方法,逐渐成为一个新的热点领域。目前研究多从微观视角探究学习者语用能力发展的规律和路径问题,随着研究的不断深入,如何从学科研究的高度探讨二语语用学的理论建构与方法论就显得十分必要和紧迫。

本书围绕二语语用的产出、理解和互动三 大核心问题展开论述,向读者展示了二语语用 研究的崭新图景和最新走向。纵观全书,可以 发现以下三个主要特色:首先,研究取向的时代性。二语语用学 的研究离不开对语用学概念的准确阐释,本书作者没有简单地从传统的英美学派或欧洲大陆学派的狭义观点出发,而是基于国际化对二语语用能力的时代要求,把语用能力的发展看作语言内外部因素综合作用的结果。其次,研究范式的批判性。二语语用学研究着眼于解决二语语用学理论僵化以及传统语用学忽略的方面,进一步展现语用学理论的潜力。再次,研究方法的多样性。纵观二语语用 学研究的发展趋势,研究方法越来越多地体现 出学科的交叉性和方法的多样性。

作者简介

 

Jonathan Culpeper

My work work spans pragmatics, English language (especially historical aspects) and stylistics. Within pragmatics, I am particularly interested in interpersonal pragmatics and (im)politeness. Historical pragmatics brings together pragmatics with my interests in historical linguistics, the history of English in particular. Within English language, I am particularly interested in Early Modern English. Within stylistics, I am particularly interested in cognitive stylistics, plays and Shakespeare. Methodologically, I have particular interests in corpus-based methods.

 

Alison Mackey

Professor and Director of Graduate Studies       Department of Linguistics ,Georgetown University. Winner of Georgetown’s  Presidential Teacher-Scholar Award (2019) and Provost’s Career Research Award (2019).

 

Naoko Taguchi

I teach undergraduate courses in the Japanese Program and graduate courses in the area of Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition. I work with graduate students on research projects and supervise their dissertations. My research interests include: pragmatics, classroom-based research, intercultural communication, TESOL and English-medium education, Japanese language teaching, corpus linguistics, and technology applications to pragmatics teaching and research.

本书是关于任务型语言教学(TBLT)和语用学之间的界面研究,分析了人们如何使用语言来实现社会交际目的,并将社会情境语境的各个方面与交际成功的维度联系起来。它说明了一种基于任务的语用教学方法如何应用于技术强化学习、指导第二语言习得、语用测试、话语语用学和语言学习。本书重点是任务在语用学教学中的运用,语用能力的发展和语用能力的评估。

Naoko Taguchi

I teach undergraduate courses in the Japanese Program and graduate courses in the area of Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition. I work with graduate students on research projects and supervise their dissertations. My research interests include: pragmatics, classroom-based research, intercultural communication, TESOL and English-medium education, Japanese language teaching, corpus linguistics, and technology applications to pragmatics teaching and research.

 

YouJin Kim

Dr. YouJin Kim specializes in second language acquisition (SLA), second language pedagogy, and task-based language teaching and assessment in Applied Linguistics. Within SLA, her research follows interactionist and psycholinguistic approaches, with the primary focus being to identify how interactional feedback, language-related episodes, and interactional alignment (e.g., priming) during oral interaction impact L2 development involving two target languages: English and Korean. She is also interested in the benefits of study abroad programs in learning additional languages among heritage and non-heritage language learners. Her work also consists of more pedagogically-oriented classroom-based research. She is particularly interested in exploring different factors affecting the benefits of task-based language teaching in both second and foreign language classroom settings. Her research articles can be found in journals such as Studies in Second Language Acquisition, Language Learning, Modern Language Journal, Applied Linguistics, Tesol Quarterly,Language Teaching Research, and System among others. Dr. Kim received her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Northern Arizona University and she joined the department in 2009.
