The 2023 World Internet Conference (WIC) Wuzhen Summit kicked off Wednesday in the ancient water town of Wuzhen in east China's Zhejiang Province.

2023年世界互联网大会乌镇峰会11月8日在浙江省“水乡古镇”乌镇开幕。

Themed "Creating an Inclusive and Resilient Digital World Beneficial to All -- Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace," the summit features 20 sub-forums covering topics such as digital economy, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and coordinated transformation for digital and green development.

本届大会主题为“建设包容、普惠、有韧性的数字世界——携手构建网络空间命运共同体”，将围绕数字经济、人工智能、网络安全、数字化绿色化协同转型等议题举办20场分论坛。

Reports on China and global internet development, awards for pioneering science and technology, and outstanding cases of jointly building a community with a shared future in cyberspace will be released at this year's summit, lasting until Friday.

大会持续至11月10日，会上将发布中国和世界互联网发展报告，科技领军人物奖项，以及携手构建网络空间命运共同体精品案例。

The year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the WIC Wuzhen Summit. Since 2014, it has welcomed nearly 12,000 participants from 172 countries and regions.

今年是世界互联网大会乌镇峰会举办的第十年。自2014年首届会议举办以来，参会嘉宾累计近12000人次，覆盖172个国家和地区。

After five years of design, building and a subsequent trial voyage, China's first domestically-built large cruise ship, the "Adora Magic City," was delivered in Shanghai on Saturday, with its maiden voyage scheduled for Jan. 1, 2024.

历时5年设计建造，完成试航验证后，11月4日，首艘国产大型邮轮“爱达·魔都”号在上海正式交付，2024年1月1日将盛大启航。

To date, China has been able to build an aircraft carrier, a large liquified natural gas carrier and a large cruise ship -- the most challenging shipbuilding projects, according to the China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC).

据中国船舶集团有限公司称，目前，我国已具备同时建造航空母舰、大型液化天然气运输船、大型邮轮的能力，集齐造船工业“三颗明珠”。

The cruise ship, measuring 323.6 meters in length, with a gross tonnage of 135,500 tonnes, can accommodate up to 5,246 passengers and has a total of 2,125 guest rooms, said the CSSC Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (SWS), the shipbuilder.

邮轮承建方中国船舶集团有限公司旗下上海外高桥造船有限公司称，“爱达-魔都号”总吨位13.55万吨，长323.6米，船上有客房2125间，可容纳乘客5246人。

Designed with 16 floors, the ship has a total of 40,000 square meters of public living and recreational area.

邮轮配置高达16层、面积4万平方米的生活娱乐公共区域。

The design and shipbuilding contract was signed at the first China International Import Expo in Shanghai in November 2018.

2018年11月，在首届中国国际进口博览会上，大型邮轮合作设计建造合同正式签订。

Giant pandas Mei Xiang, Tian Tian and their male cub Xiao Qi Ji departed the Smithsonian's National Zoo in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, wrapping up their stay in the United States and embarking on a journey back to China.

大熊猫“美香”“添添”和它们的雄性幼崽“小奇迹”于8日离开位于华盛顿特区的史密森学会国家动物园，结束了美国旅居，开始了返回中国的旅程。

At a brief ceremony held at the zoo, keepers escorted three special crates each holding one panda to travel on Olmsted Walk in front of members of the press. The crates were later loaded on trucks heading to the Dulles International Airport.

In remarks addressing the media, Brandie Smith, director of the Smithsonian's National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute (NZCBI), hailed the China-U.S. collaboration on giant panda conservation that dated back over 50 years, which facilitated Mei Xiang and Tian Tian arriving in Washington, D.C. in 2000 and producing four adorable cubs in the years that followed.

史密森学会国家动物园和生物保护研究所主管布兰迪·史密斯在向媒体发表讲话时称，美中大熊猫保护研究合作长达50余年，“美香”和“添添”在2000年来到华盛顿特区，并在随后的几年里生下了四只可爱的幼崽。

Xu Xueyuan, minister of the Chinese embassy in the United States who also attended the event, said that since the arrival of Meixiang and Tian Tian in Washington 23 years ago, which also marked the beginning of cooperation between China and the NZCBI, Chinese and U.S. teams "have worked closely and fruitfully on giant panda conservation and research."

参加此次活动的中国驻美国大使馆公使徐学渊表示，2000年“美香”和“添添”来到美国，标志着中国与史密森学会国家动物园和生物保护研究所合作的开始，中美双方团队在大熊猫保护和研究方面开展了密切且富有成果的合作。
