Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday attended the opening ceremony of the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation as representatives from more than 140 countries and 30-plus international organizations gathered in Beijing for the event.
10月18日，国家主席习近平出席第三届“一带一路”国际合作高峰论坛开幕式并发表主旨演讲。来自140多个国家、30多个国际组织的代表在北京共聚一堂，共襄盛举。
China will work with all parties involved to usher Belt and Road cooperation into a new stage of high-quality development, and make relentless efforts to achieve modernization for all countries, Xi told the opening ceremony as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) marked its 10th anniversary this year.

Xi told the gathering on Wednesday the initiative would aim to "inject new impetus" into the global economy.

"The BRI aims to enhance policy, infrastructure, trade, financial and people-to-people connectivity, inject new impetus into the global economy, create new opportunities for global development, and build a new platform for international economic cooperation," Xi said.

The body of a 4-year-old girl who went missing on October 4 while at a beach in southeast Shanghai has been discovered on a tidal flat in Ningbo, according to Shanghai police.
据上海警方消息，10月4日在上海东南部一处海滩失踪的4岁女童的遗体在宁波市某滩涂被发现。
Experts conducted a comprehensive examination of the child's body, while family members were asked to confirm her identity. The physical attributes and clothing of the deceased child closely matched those of the girl surnamed Huang, who was reported missing on October 4.
经法医提取女童遗体生物特征检测比对及家属辨认，其身体及衣着等特征与10月4日报道失踪的黄姓女童相似。
Police have indicated that the circumstances surrounding Huang's death appear consistent with drowning, showing no signs of violence. Further investigations are underway.
