数据供应链 Data Supply Chain

数据供应链（Data Supply Chain）不是我们常说的供应链。

数据供应链在中文语境中说的很少。

它是对应企业生产中的供应链管理，借用到数据管理领域。

数据供应链有意思的地方在于，数据在生产、工作的活动中产生，并且数据货币化的过程也与其生产过程相互融合。这个过程中，如何处理数据管理的问题，如数据源、数据质量、处理能力、安全等问题。

下面两页图来自于我在看的一本书。

相比较企业的供应链管理包括审计与控制和库存管理（当然还有其它的），数据供应链管理包括数据管理和数据治理，即都有管理和审计的要求。

下面是用企业的常见场景说明数据供应链与生产和销售活动的关系。他们是相互融合的关系。

John Ladley's book <Data Governance: How to Design, Deploy, and Sustain an Effective Data Governance Program 2nd Edition> outlines the whole topics of data governance and data management. Through it is not as professional as I expect, but it's quite informative. At least for now, it's helpful for me to understand data management.

In this article, I just picked only one topic mentioned in this book: Data Supply Chain

According to 451 Research,  "the data supply chain represents the technological steps and human-involved processes supporting the flow of data through the organization, from its raw state, through transformation and integration, all the way through to the point of consumption or analysis.” 

Basically, there are Data Suppliers and Data Consumers in Data Supply Chain.
