Marco Borghesi 教授

贝尔法斯特女王大学等离子体物理中心



Professor Borghesi’s research interests lie in the area of intense laser-plasma interactions, with particular expertise in laser-driven acceleration of ion beams. He is involved in the development of innovative acceleration schemes as well as the application of laser-driven proton beams to plasma radiography (e.g. for laboratory astrophysics studies) and in the biomedical field. Most of his research is carried out at large national facilities (e.g. Central Laser Facility, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory) and is funded by large projects supported by EPSRC.





Matter and Radiation at Extremes (MRE), superintended by China Academy of Engineering Physics, is committed to the publication of original and impactful research and review papers that address extreme states of matter and radiation, and the associated science and technology that are employed to produce and diagnose these conditions in the laboratory. Drivers, targets and diagnostics are included along with related numerical simulation and computational methods. It aims to provide a peer-reviewed platform for the international physics community and promote worldwide dissemination of the latest and impactful research in related fields. Matter and Radiation at Extremes (MRE) is an open access journal. Articles published in MRE are freely accessible, without restriction, to the global public.
