“You're a star”的意思不是“你是明星”，“see stars”也不是“看星星”
剑桥英语词典里对“You're a star”是这样解释的：something you say to someone when they have been nice and helpful to you当你对他人伸出援助之手时对方说的话,其实是在夸你：你真是个大好人。
此时意思等同于：It's very nice of you.相当于我们常说的：你真是我的大救星。
Thank you so much for giving me a hand. You're a star!
非常感谢你帮了我的忙。你人太好了！
I really appreciate what you did for me. You're a star! Thanks a million.
我真的很感激你为我所做的一切。你真是个大好人! 万分感谢。
其中，大明星的英文表达里，以big star和superstar应用最广泛。
superstar 巨星、超级明星
big star 大明星
international superstar 国际巨星
例句：
He is a famous star here in China.
他在中国是一位家喻户晓的大明星。

此外，star还有"星星"的意思，那如果你听到:Have stars in your eyes.，你会理解成:你眼里有星星吗？have stars in your eyes=两眼放光(因激动，兴奋，充满希望)
例句：
You have stars in your eyes whenever your boyfriend chats[tʃæt] with you.
每次和你男朋友聊天，你都是两眼放光(充满幸福感~)。
如果你想看天上的星星，可以说look at the stars 或者 watch stars；
如果是类似赏月的看还可以说appreciate the stars，可不要用see stars，免得引起误解。

When that branch fell on my head, I saw stars for several seconds.

guest star

也可以是名词比如：He just wants you as a guest star.
他只是请你去客串。
new star／rising star
Publicity agents were beating the drum about the new star.
广告代理商都在竭力吹捧这名新星。
star turn
The star turn in that movie is really charming. I have a big crush on him.
那部电影中的主演很有魅力。我很喜欢他。
shooting star
例句：
A bright shooting star is an unforgettable sight.
明亮的流星，是番难忘的景象。
There was a shooting star outside.
