在商贸领域，如何用英语礼貌地表达拒绝和不同意？今天推送的几点建议一定有帮助。
1. 为了让自己与一个观点保持距离从而听起来不那么直截了当，可用it作非人称(impersonal)主语加引述动词(reporting verb)的被动式(passive)。
It was understood that if we were successful in securing the takeover, Sarong would become a part of International Latex.
如果我们成功进行收购，萨朗公司显然会成为国际乳胶公司的一部分。
It is assumed that share prices will rise as a result of the operation.
这次交易据称会导致股价上升。
It was agreed that the details would remain confidential.
大家一致同意细节仍将保密。
2. 可用诸如a little、a bit或rather等后置修饰语(qualifier)使否定语气显得不那么强烈。
That sounds a little expensive.
那听起来有点贵。
They may be a bit late, I’m afraid.
恐怕他们会迟一点。
Unfortunately, we were rather disappointed with the quality of the last delivery.
遗憾的是，我们对最近一批货的质量相当失望。
3. 使用not very、not totally、not completely和not entirely等表达式后接积极形容词比用消极形容词听来更婉转得体。
We aren’t totally convinced by the idea of using road transport.
我们对使用公路运输的想法还不完全信服。
I wouldn’t be very happy with that arrangement.
我对那样的安排不很满意。
You don’t seem absolutely certain about that.
你似乎对此不绝对肯定。
4. 如果想表示不同意而不冒犯别人，可先表达同意后用but。
Well, I agree but I see it slightly differently.
嗯，我同意，但我对此看法略有不同。
I see what you mean but I still don’t think it’s possible.
我明白你的意思，但我仍然认为这是不可能的。
I take your point about the costs but we could still do it.
我接受你关于成本的观点，但我们仍然能做到。
5. 如果想反驳某人，或说出别人可能不同意的话，为了避免听起来粗鲁，可用一个引述动词，比如I think...(或I don’t think...)或I believe..(或 I don’t believe...)。
I think it’s time we stopped.
我想我们该停下来了。
I don’t think that’s actually the case.
我认为实际上不是那样的。
I don’t believe we committed ourselves to maintaining the price.
我相信我们没有致力于维持价格。
7. 使用seem或appear可避免听上去对自己的信息绝对肯定。
This seems to be the only possible solution to the problem.
这似乎是该问题唯一可行的解决方法。
It appears that the cost of the new system would be minimal.
看来新系统的成本将会最小。
