70 Years' Imprint of New China—— "China Transport" strides towards a new journey

在中国广袤的大地上,高速铁路网密布,时速350公里的“复兴号”飞驰而过,这是具有完全自主知识产权、达到世界先进水平的中国标准动车组,寿命更长,能耗更低,乘坐更舒适。复兴号的研制开通,让中国铁路进入了“中国标准动车组时代”,从跟跑到领跑,这是中国飞速发展的缩影。与此同时,时速600公里的高速磁悬浮列车也正在紧锣密鼓地研制之中。
The high-speed railway network snakes through vast expanses of China, providing glimpses of the Fuxing bullet train rushing past at 350 kilometers per hour. Fuxing bullet train is a Chinese standard EMU (electric multiple unit) with self-propelled carriages, the most advanced system of its kind. It boasts of a longer life, lower energy consumption and a more comfortable ride. With the opening of Fuxing bullet train to passengers, China Railway has entered a new era of becoming a leader in this field, which is also an epitome of China's overall rapid development. Additionally, the high-speed maglev train with a speed of 600 kilometers per hour is under development.

对于交通运输建设的重要性,中国人有着最朴素的观念:“要想富,先修路”。而中国复杂多样的地形,却为当代经济发展设置了不小的障碍。70年来,中国人民为求经济发展,攻克难关,凭借自力更生的精神、不断革新的技术,逢山开路、遇水架桥,让交通运输业实现了一次又一次新的跨越。
When it comes to building transportation, Chinese follow a simple formula: “If you want to be rich, build roads first”. China's complex and diverse terrain, however, posed challenges. But through dedicated efforts and persistence over the past 70 years, the Chinese overcame difficulties and achieved economic development, relying on their spirit of self-reliance and innovation. Today, roads and bridges can be seen criss-crossing across mountains and rivers, enabling the transportation industry to connect even remote regions.

马鞍山长江大桥


1957年,武汉长江大桥正式通车,大浪滔滔的江水之上有了第一座上为公路、下为铁路的双层大桥。此后60多年间,南京长江大桥等90多座长江大桥陆续建起,被历代视为天堑的长江,成了交通便利的通途。
In 1957, the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge was officially opened to traffic. The first double-deck bridge was built to connect highways and railways. Since then, more than 90 Yangtze River Bridges, such as Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, have been built one after another over 60 years, and the Yangtze River, which was regarded as a ravine by past dynasties, has become a convenient mode of transportation.

厦蓉高速贵州榕江县境内的都柳江大桥


西南地区的崇山峻岭中,高速公路或盘山而上,或穿山而过,陆续修建的泸定大渡河桥、北盘江大桥等7座特大桥梁,跨越峡谷和高山,让中国经济发展的势能传递到最偏远的地区。
In the steep mountains of Southwest China, highways wind uphill or go through the mountains. Seven super-large bridges, such as Luding Dadu River Bridge and Beipanjiang River Bridge, have been built so even far-flung areas are not deprived of development.

川藏铁路


被誉为“世界屋脊”的青藏高原上,青藏铁路穿过无人区、翻越唐古拉,犹如一条盘踞天边的巨龙,与青藏、川藏、滇藏、新藏等四条入藏公路并肩,密切了西藏地区与其他地区的联系,让世代居住高原的藏族同胞也能搭上中国经济发展的快车。
On the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, known as the ‘roof of the world’, the Qinghai-Tibet Railway passes through no-man's land and crosses Tanggula, like a giant dragon perched on the horizon. There are three more highways connecting Tibet, including Sichuan-Tibet, Yunnan-Tibet and Xinhai-Tibet. Tibet now has connectivity with other areas and Tibetans living on the plateau for generations can finally jump on the express of economic development. 

港珠澳跨海大桥

东部地区多个跨海大桥的修建,让沿海城市间不再被海湾阻隔,为东部经济带注入新的动能,其中港珠澳大桥堪称世界桥梁建设史上的巅峰之作,这个超级工程像一双翅膀,助力粤港澳大湾区向国际一流湾区迈进。
The construction of several sea-crossing bridges in the eastern region mean that coastal cities are no longer blocked by the Bay and this has injected new momentum into the Eastern Economic zone. The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is an architectural marvel. This super-project is expected to help Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay area move closer to the first-class international Bay area.

如今,中国“八纵八横”的高速铁路网新框架正在飞速构建之中,高速铁路营业里程超2.9万公里,居世界第一位;公路路网四通八达,高速公路总里程超过14万公里;民航面貌焕然一新,航线网络和机场规模不断拓展,大兴国际机场等城市双机场的投入使用,最大限度地实现空域优化,为区域发展带来新契机;港口建设步入高速发展阶段,全球港口吞吐量和集装箱吞吐量排名前10的港口中,中国港口占有7席。成熟的立体综合交通网络,将幅员辽阔的中国大地有机串联起来,每天,无数的人员、货物在这张交通网络上高效流转,为中国经济发展的引擎注入强大的动力。由交通大国到交通强国,中国正在大步迈向新征程。
Nowadays, the new framework of China's 'eight vertical and eight horizontal' high-speed railway network is being constructed. The operating mileage of high-speed railway is more than 29,000 kilometers, ranking the first in the world; the road network is in all directions and the total mileage of highway is more than 140,000 kilometers; the civil aviation is brand new, the scale of airline network and airport is constantly expanding and Daxing International airport and other new airports, optimizing and maximizing the use of space, are bringing new opportunities for development. Port construction has entered a high-speed development stage. Of the top 10 ports in global port throughput and container throughput, China's ports occupy seven seats. A mature three-dimensional integrated transportation network will organically connect the vast land of China. Every day, countless people and goods flow efficiently in this transportation network, injecting power into the engine of China's economic development. China is striding forward on a new journey – becoming one of the countries with best transport infrastructure in the world.
