“九章”并列一作王辉获全球华人物理学会优秀博士论文奖

全球华人物理学会(International Organization of Chinese Physicists and Astronomers)宣布中国科学技术大学的王辉博士获得2021年度的优秀博士论文奖(Outstanding Dissertation Award),表彰他对量子点单光子源和玻色子采样研究方面的杰出贡献(For his outstanding contribution to quantum-dot single-photon sources and boson sampling)。

全球华人物理学会是一个非政治性、专业性、非营利性的组织,于1990年6月在纽约州特许成立。该组织的总体目标是促进物理学和天文学研究,特别是促进对华裔物理学家和天文学家成就的认可。

王辉于2011年从甘肃凉州考入中国科学技术大学,2015年获得学士学位,随后加入潘建伟和陆朝阳的课题组攻读博士学位,从事光子量子计算,尤其是量子光源和玻色采样的量子优势的实验研究。在博士期间,他和团队开发了傅里叶变换限制的单光子源,展示了第一个超过所有先前工作超过 5 个数量级的五光子玻色采样,第一个椭圆微腔的量子点单光子源,第一个单光子源强度压缩,以及第一个20 个输入光子和 60 模式干涉仪的玻色采样。在这些关键技术积累的基础上,他和同事成功实现了“九章”原型机,首次实现了量子计算优越性。

王辉在研究生期间曾获得中科院院长奖特别奖,中国五四青年奖章集体,以及Springer Nature和Light: Science & Applications联合评选的“Rising Stars of Light”二等奖。目前担任微尺度物质科学国家研究中心副研究员,相继获得了微尺度启明星计划、中国科协青年人才托举工程等荣誉。
