顶级投资人 Naval 的赚钱、学习和幸福指南

前阵读到最棒的牛人的著述作品，当属 Naval Ravikant 的 《The Almanack of Naval Ravikant: A Guide to Wealth and Happiness》。
准确地说，是由 Eric Jorgenson 整理了 Naval 散落在推特、播客、各种论坛演讲的精华合集。九月中旬刚刚美国上市。
Naval Ravikant 何许人也？他是 AngelList 的首席执行官和联合创始人；之前是 Vast.com 和 Epinions 的联合创始人，这两家公司作为 Shopping.com 的一部分上市；同时，他是一位天使投资人，成功投资了 Uber、Twitter、Yammer、OpenDNS 等。
我从多个优质信源了解到此书，台湾的学习/编程/创业大神 @XDite（她也是本 Newsletter 的订阅者哈）更是直接将电子书发到了我眼皮底下。一读发现，相遇恨晚。
比起国内投资人夸夸其谈的做派，在这本书中的 Naval 诚恳地谈到了他如何看待赚钱、运气、幸福、工作、阅读、学习等。如果有时间机器，我希望送回给学生时代的自己。
从我上百条摘录中，分享若干如下：
学习如何销售。学会建造。如果你两个都能做到，你就势不可挡了。（Learn to sell. Learn to build. If you can do both, you will be unstoppable.）
代码和媒体是无需他人许可的杠杆。他们是新富人群背后的筹码。您可以创建适合您在睡眠时使用的软件和媒体。（Code and media are permissionless leverage. They’re the leverage behind the newly rich. You can create software and media that works for you while you sleep.）
没有什么技能叫做“商业”。避免阅读商业杂志和商务课。（There is no skill called “business.” Avoid business magazines and business classes.）
更多地追随你的求知欲，而不是现在任何“热门”的东西。如果你的好奇心曾经把你带到一个社会最终想去的地方，你会得到非常丰厚的报酬。（Follow your intellectual curiosity more than whatever is “hot” right now. If your curiosity ever leads you to a place where society eventually wants to go, you’ll get paid extremely well. ）
如果他们能训练你做这件事，那么最终他们会训练一台计算机去做这件事。（If they can train you to do it, then eventually they will train a computer to do it.）
问题是，要想在状态游戏中取胜，你必须击倒别人。这就是为什么你应该避免在你的生活中玩状态游戏--它们会让你变成一个愤怒、好斗的人。你总是努力贬低别人，贬低你自己和你喜欢的人。（The problem is, to win at a status game, you have to put somebody else down. That’s why you should avoid status games in your life—they make you into an angry, combative person. You’re always fighting to put other people down, to put yourself and the people you like up.）
花更多的时间做重大决定。在你的早期生活中，基本上有三个真正重大的决定：你住在哪里，你和谁在一起，以及你做什么。（Spend more time making the big decisions. There are basically three really big decisions you make in your early life: where you live, who you’re with, and what you do.）
处理冲突的第一条规则是：不要和经常发生冲突的人混在一起。我对任何不可持续甚至难以维持的事情都不感兴趣，包括难以维系的关系。（The first rule of handling conflict is: Don’t hang around people who constantly engage in conflict. I’m not interested in anything unsustainable or even hard to sustain, including difficult relationships.）
阅读数学、科学和哲学方面的名著。忽略你的同龄人和新闻。避免部落认同。把真相放在社会认同之上。（Read the greats in math, science, and philosophy. Ignore your contemporaries and news. Avoid tribal identification. Put truth above social approval.）
