China announced on Wednesday a nationwide loosening of Covid-19 restrictions.

Hightlights

1.

Asymptomatic persons and mild cases can quaratnine at home while strengthening health monitoring, and they can transfer to designated hospitals for treatment in a timely manner if their condition worsens

2.

People will no longer be required to show a green health code on their phone to enter public buildings and spaces, except for "nursing homes, medical institutions, kindergartens, middle and high schools"

3.

People travelling between provinces will no longer required a negative test taken within 48 hours, and they will not have to test upon arrival

4.

High-risk areas should be accurately defined by building, unit, floor and household, and must not be arbitrarily expanded to entire residential compounds and communities.
