FOSI数字时代家长指南（九）：解锁电子游戏

近期，FOSI(国际家庭在线安全协会, Family Online Safety Institute)发布了成为优秀的数字时代家长的十大指南。

FOSI成立于2007年，是一个致力于推广在线责任文化，加强网上青少年保护的国际性非盈利组织。腾讯于2018年成为FOSI会员，是第一家加入网上青少年保护“国际俱乐部”的中国企业。腾讯研究院第一时间翻译了十大指南，并将在近期于腾讯研究院公众号上发布，此为系列第九篇《解锁电子游戏Unlocking Video Games》。

对于许多年轻人来说，游戏已不仅仅是一种简单的娱乐形式。 现代多人游戏允许人们通过聊天和其他互动功能从世界各地进行联系。 虽然这可能是一个很好的机会，但考虑到安全性、屏幕时间和应用内购买问题，它已成为家长关注的一个焦点。

For many young people, gaming has become more than a simple form of entertainment. Modern multiple player games allow people to connect from all over the world via chat and other interactive features. While this can be a great opportunity, it has become a source of concern for parents when considering safety, screen time, and issues with in-app purchases.

The ESRB rates video games using three factors - age appropriateness, content descriptors explaining subject matter, and interactive elements.
